If you’re having the same problem we are, here is an easy, classic recipe for you that is delicious for dairy and non-diary consumers alike. Make the swap for regular chocolate chips with these awesome dairy-free chocolate chips and you are all set.

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

A classic recipe with the best combo of two amazing cookies, without the dairy.

Servings 32 cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup non-dairy butter plant-based butter
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup non-dairy chocolate chips make sure you read the ingredients/label carefully!
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 4 cups plain quaker oats quaker oatmeal
  • 1 ½ to 2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  • In a small bowl, mix flower, salt and baking soda together and set aside.
  • In a large bowl, mix together sugars, eggs, butter and vanilla until smooth.
  • Fold in chocolate chips until well incorporated.
  • Then mix in quaker oats, one cup at a time, mixing each cup until incorporated
  • Finally, add flower mixture, one cup at a time, mixing each cup until incorporated.
  • Place spoonfuls of dough onto greased baking sheet.
  • Bake at 375 for 11 to 13 minutes.

Notes

It’s super important to look at the back label on packages and read the package carefully. Gluten free doesn’t mean vegan or dairy free, and likewise, vegan does not mean gluten free.
There are different brands of non-dairy chocolate chips. I recommend the Bake Believe brand as it clearly says in big letters, dairy free. But you should always also read the full list of ingredients depending on the severity of your allergy. 
Bake Believe has semi-sweet and dark chocolate dairy-free flavors.
