Ingredients

  • 4 tortillas large burrito-sized
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups broccoli slaw
  • Non-Diary plant based ranch dressing. We use this one and there is also a spicy version
  • 1 cup Barbeque sauce non-dairy
  • Any other sliced or grated vegetables you desire to add.

Instructions

  • Slice chicken pieces into long, thin strips
  • Prepare your barbeque and barbeque boneless chicken over medium heat.
  • Alternatively, you can cook the chicken in a frying pan on the stovetop.
  • Cook for about 10 minutes on either side, and then flip once more and cook for another 5 to 10 minutes. until internal temperature reads 165 degrees F or higher.
  • Spread barbeque sauce over chicken until chicken is coated
  • Spread ranch dressing over the middle of each tortilla.
  • Spread Broccoli slaw over the center of each tortilla.
  • Place cooked pieces of chicken in the center of each tortilla. Evenly distribute chicken pieces between each tortilla.
  • Optional: spread barbeque sauce over the top of chicken.
  • Wrap each tortilla beginning with folding the bottom of the tortilla in, and then wrapping sideways so that the top remains open, and the bottom remains closed.
  • Alternatively, you can wrap each tortilla so that both sides are closed, and then slice the tortilla in half.

Notes

Stove Top instructions: Alternatively, you can cook your chicken on the stove top for about 8 minutes on each side, or until internal temperature reads 165 degrees F or higher.
Important note: I always recommend using an internal meat thermometer to ensure meat is cooked to a safe internal temperature.
Optional ingredients: The ingredients you can add to tortilla wraps is endless. Everything from avocados to lettuce, extra veggies, salsas or sauces, you can make this recipe your own!
I typically add anything from chopped green onions, grated carrots, lettuce and more.
